Biblical Spirit World Study

This is a study on the biblical spirit world. As always, when we address a topic as broad and as powerful as this one, we need to qualify some terminology and set some guidelines. First, this is a study of the biblical spirit world, not the supernatural. Although both terms are many times used interchangeably, supernatural has a tendency to encompass everything from ghosts to UFOs to unexplainable phenomenon. We will focus on the spirit world the realm that is, for the most part, unseen to the human eye and under the influence of God or Satan. We are also going to limit our study to those areas with biblical references and evidence.
In addition to spiritual beings, there are many places and locations in the spirit world [spiritual realm]. So, to that end, we will take a look at the Biblical spirit world and its places, players and purpose. We will study these areas with the sole purpose of increasing our knowledge of God's Word (Hebrews 5:14) and thus equipping ourselves for the battle (Ephesians 6:13-18). (NIV)
